The house is in a good location and has excellent pubic transport links (Ring-Bahn, U-Bahn, S-Bahn and Bus); the river Spree and Tiergarten (Siegesäule) are a 10 minute walk down the street. The central train station and Zoologischer Garten can be reached by bus or train within 10 minutes. A number of supermarkets are also located nearby.
The rent will be €350 per month plus €50 per month for utilities (water, electricity and internet).
The apartment itself is cosy, wooden floors, quality furniture, kitchen and bath includes washing machine,., the living room is large,

Streets of Berlin: Wörther Straße

Located in the middle of Prenzlauerberg – one of Berlin’s hippest neighbourhoods – the Wörther Straße is easy to find, and offers a variety of diversions, yet does not usually get overly crowded. The street’s name harks back to the Franco-Prussian war (1870-71), during which the French town of Wörth briefly belonged to the Germans. It is squeezed in between Prenzlauerberg’s two main traffic arteries Schonhauserallee and Prenlauzerallee. On one end it borders on a Jewish cemetery. A bit further down, there is the triangular Kollwitzplatz, named in commemoration of Käthe Kollwitz, the printmaker and sculptor. Her main subject was depictions of the anguish of loss resulting from the horrors of war. Some of her most well-known prints are those of parents mourning children, a theme that came from the personal experience of having lost her son in the course of the First World War.
A statue of her in the Kollwitzplatz is made in a style similar to her own work, with sharp lines that simultaneously exude a perennial human suffering.
On Thursday and Saturday there is an ecological market in and around the little park where the environmentally-conscious Prenz’lbergers go to buy their bio-vegetables and homemade lollies.
Another of Worther Strasse’s highlight is at the Prenzlaurallee end; the wonderful St. George’s English bookstore. As they advertise on their website it is a cozy place to peruse books in comfortable leather Chesterfield sofas. As might be expected, they carry a large selection of books about Berlin, both fiction and non-fiction (e.g. Doblin’s Berlin-Alexanderplatz, Peter Gay’s The Weimar Republic). Particularly in their new-books shelves one finds a noticeably large selection of leftist theory and philosophy, with the Frankfurt school being well-represented by Adorno and Benjamin.
We had people from all over the world staying in this apartment and they all loved it and also praised its convenience to the public transport system.

i am offering my cute, furnished studio in quite building centrally located in kreuzberg. it is available from january 7th. its about an 8 minute walk to bergmannstraße/mehringdamm, an area with lots of shops, bars, restaurants, etc. 5 minute walk to closest metro stations, gneisenaustrasse or hallesches tor.
the apartment is about 40 square meters and has a single bed, a double sofa bed, coffee table and small desk. the kitchen has a table and chairs as well as pots and pans, dishes, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, etc. the bathroom has a stand up shower and washing machine. towels and bed linen are provided, as well.
it has a flatrate internet connection, but you will have to bring your own computer.

Apartment 4 is set in a beautiful quiet street, only 15 minutes by train to the historical centre of Berlin, so easy to reach sites such as the Brandenburger Gate and the Jewish memorial. Equally it only takes 15 minutes to Kurfürstendamm, the main shopping street in the former west. On the same street as the flat there is a supermarket, a floating tank experience and a couple of cafes.

The flat is located on the 2nd floor in a quiet and bright courtyard of a beautiful Berlin building. There are plenty of second hand and new fashion shops by Berlin designers, record shops, restaurants, bars and clubs as well as great snack imbisses and deli’s to be found on the street and around the corner.
It is a one minute walk to Berlin’s most known fleamarket held on sundays at Mauerpark, a very popular hangout.
The subway and tram is a five minute walk, Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt can also be reached by foot within 10 minutes.

You should be a cat-lover : my cute 1,5year young, very clean, well behaved and funny cat dude would be in the apartment and happy to have someone who cuddles and plays with him once in a while (on top of feeding and cleaning his toilet of course).
(Possibly maybe the cat won t be there..but most likely, he will !)

Daily shopping is also easy with nearby supermarkets, grocery stores and bakeries.
It’s also easy to visit Berlin from here. Means of transportation are frequent and various (several bus and subways lines). A direct subway line runs from Hermannplatz station (5mn by foot from our apartment) to Alexanderplatz, heart of the city, in 20mn.
